How would you counteract that? Maybe a white reference flashlight light source? Do you just set the camera's white balance to a fixed color temp of 5000k or something and trust the calibration? Set it to AWB and let the computer figure out how to handle the mess?
You could try to fix it in post, but my monitor isn't calibrated either so it feels like it would be guessing either way.
