>>3257482https://discord.gg/jghk5bI don't really have any obvious photographic influences, other than the passive ones that have been imparted by consuming commercial visual media my whole life.
To be honest I'm completely unfamiliar with photographers of tremendous stature besides Ansel Adams. My education in photographic theory and history is pretty poor. This is why my answer to your question is not meant smugly, but if anything, as a lament. I'm sure I could learn a lot from famous photographers of the past, and maybe I should make a greater effort to do so.
>>3257535Thanks Catsby. It's funny that you say this, because I posted it to a local photography group and the immediate reaction was that it was "spooky". Personally, it gives me cozy summer feels, similarly to you.
I'm actually running low on shots I think are worth posting. After 2 years of shooting 4x5, and almost 400 total negatives shot, I think I have maybe 35-40 that are actually okay, half of which, or less, are worth showing to anyone else.
Catsby, those are some juicy tones and some nice lighting.
The process you're describing is separate from the print itself, correct? I'm unfamiliar with these instant films. You took the negative off which the instant film print peels, and you bleach it to get a scannable neg?
