Fact is ANY filter is going to have a mild negative effect on absolute "IQ" if sharpness is the be all and end all, but in actual use the benefit of the filter has a far greater effect.
Personally I think pocketing the difference between a set of 5 filters for $12 or a single Heliopan for $130 is always going to help heal the wound of the imaginary loss of contrast from not having imaginary unicorn semen coatings.
