When I want a more technically accurate look I shoot it at 400, it'll have less noticeable grain and nicer overall detail. When I need more speed/am shooting in changing lighting conditions/don't mind a more contrasty and slight bit more grainer look I shoot at 1600. Haven't shot it pushed further as Tmax 400 and Tmax p3200 already give me a pleasing image at those faster speeds.
I'd say give 1600 a go.
