it's just simple physics of various ways of processing and control of light as it passes through lenses optics. zeiss (and leica? leica or someone else with zeiss) literally has an entire book or whatever on this subject, thats older both than you and me combined
i've been a photographer for 26 years now, 19 of which ive been living off it and i have owned hundreds of lenses throughout my career. while i was in my ''in search of the perfect portraiture kit'' teen phase, i even had my step fathers warehouse filled with glass counters and lenses at one point in time as well as old lenses for various other now non existent mounts. I eventually grew out of the lens switching phase once I realized I kept making a full circle every 3-4 years and always ending up with a zeiss/voigtlander kit of lenses, eventually resulting in me ending up with a 1x6m cabinet full of zeiss and voigtlander glass somewhere around 2014-2015.
i wouldn't be making a full circle every couple years and I wouldn't always end up investing into zeiss and voigtlander glass and selling all the other native camera manufacturer and third party lenses, if it was all made up, not demonstrable and ''a conspiracy'' as you call it.
