>The prime minister’s obvious sympathy towards more right-wing extremes, his scandalous actions and ideas were met with backlash from not only the opposition but also from angry protesters. Demanding fairness, equality and admittance of political failure from the government they have been raising their voice every Friday since Spring of 2020. Using bikes to cleverly bypass the ban on gathering they cycled through the streets of Ljubljana and made numerous rounds in front of the parliament building stating their disagreements by honking loudly on their horns. Soon the humble bike was seen as a new symbol of protest and its represented idea spread like wildfire throughout the whole of Slovenia. The protests grew in numbers and with each Friday new groups of people joined in, stating their disagreements with an almost “festival-like” behaviour, as the Republican Square was flooded with dancing, singing, elaborate flyers and so on.
