The types of bugs you find will vary greatly depending on location and time, though. A creek in the woods is likely to have damselflies, while a field will have dragonflies and grasshoppers. If you have any botanical gardens nearby, those tend to have many butterflies, bees, and mantises. Wolf spiders tend to be more active in the evening, and when it is dark enough, they can be found by shining a flashlight at the ground and looking for their highly reflective eyes.
