Sure, it might be higher resolution than the competition. Maybe even significantly higher resolution on paper. But the difference between 32MP and 26MP is pretty small in terms of overall image size. I'm too lazy to do the math to figure out what the linear difference in image size is, but just based on the difference when viewed in DPReview's studio comparison tool at full size, it doesn't look big. And the Canon also looks a little bit noisier (even when switched to comparable-resolution mode, so it's not just that more pixels look noisier when viewed at 100%).
But all that aside, nowadays most photos are viewed on people's cellphones or laptops at a fraction of their resolution and usually run through a layer of extra compression from Facebook. And if they're printed, you're not going to be peering closely enough at the print most of the time to discern a difference.
So, in practical real-world terms... not really a difference worth arguing about.
