If I'm not mistaken he has a GFX 50R (like 4k there) plus a GFX 100S (maybe 6k, don't care enough to check) and a X-Pro3 (about 1.5k).
Spend 300 on an used camera and shoot as much as you want anon. The feedback loop that digital provides will also flatten the learning curve.
Get a D7000, D5100, 50D, K-5, any of those will do the trick. Look through your camera, not at it.
