>>3494879Ah, that's too bad. You're NM? Actually I liked the idea of you photographing that dude in particular. I went with the motherland theme but I'm actually not so keen on jingoism, so that would have been a good take on it.
>>3494890Yeah, actually that assignment is quite tricky. The one thing I could think of looking at my backlog is pic related, where the circle of her face, the circle on the table and the one drawn on the cupboard behind together with the line of her arm make a triangle, but it's not so evident. I think looking for groups of people forming a circle would be easier, especially if they all dress dark against a light background. I think your triangle would work if there was something very dark in the low left corner, but there is more of an oval as I said. It's an interesting image but busy with forms—oval on bottom, triangles left, a vertical movement right, a strong diagonal, and the perspective semicircles up top. It's a lot of visually interesting shapes, I get why you like shopping malls. If you feel it's worth the effort I invite you to give it another try.
It's a bit of an esoteric assignment this one, I was a bit torn between not wanting to make it too difficult and the value I think comes from learning about gestalt. I don't see it discussed so often on /p/, but it's such a powerful concept. I'll probably go easy peasy next month.
