Their line of M rangefinders has legitimate value just because shooting with a rangefinder is different from shooting with any other camera out there. It's a much different photography experience, and that alone gives you slightly different pictures because you're looking at the world in a slightly different way. Plus, they're just fun to use if you enjoy the feel of shooting with an old-school manual camera (even when you're shooting with their digital bodies).
Just based on specs and features, they're hopelessly primitive compared to vastly cheaper cameras out there, but for a certain type of photographer, that more primitive feel is actually worth the extra money.
