There are a few ways to do it: show people in an interaction with an object/ another person in a way that you don't see it everyday. Just talking isn't enough there should be something interesting going on.
Have a subject that had impact from people and capture that in the best way possible, like pic related (not my picture, from someone on this board)
A picture of unusual people. If you take a photo of ordinary people they can be anyone, but if you take a picture from maybe idk a heavy metal fan, you can make up a story because it says something about their charachter.
Have a strong expression. That is a story in itself
Connection between two subjects or the subject and the background. Something like a contrast. Poor and rich, happy and sad. Or an old man in a old building.
