'56 was bs as well, so much for america trying to prevent the spread of communism, not only did they not support the revolution but they didn't even acknowledge the bloodbath that followed. They also didn't do shit when Czechoslovakia was invaded and hundreds of civilians were massacred. It's like they gave up on everything east of Germany and Austria and just let the soviets have it, even though the USSR could have been defeated right after the war.
