I would want even better autofocus before blowing money on either upgrade or else it would all go to waste, and only buy a high resolution camera if the autofocus was stellar, or else it would be wasted. And with the A7R, it is. Think of buying the Sony™ A7RIII as an investment in being able to reach greater heights rather than wasting its potential. At $1000 it's a steal. The A7III is a lower end model for vloggers, purposefully downgraded for budget conscious consoomers. In no case except using the worst chinese glass, slow chinese SD cards and a computer from 2012 is the A7RIII not a massive upgrade.
