>>2941218I tried zooming in and out with my kit lens I never had any luck trying to find a Star via the LCD screen I'm not sure how long it takes to manual focus on something but I tried for at least 5-10 minutes never was I able to see a star I guess I'll have to try again maybe I need to use the zoom on the camera body I know there is a button that allows you to zoom in to make the image bigger on the LCD.
I need to learn how to focus without a light because I'm planning to take my DSLR out to a future star party I hear it's really dark out there I thought about this last night about how I was gonna focus in the dark with no light.
