Some types of lenses will never be "tiny," just smaller when they can be. It still has to cover full-frame, and it's still autofocus, so it's gonna be fucking big. It doesn't really affect your shooting in practice, unless you're holding your camera incorrectly in the first place. Hold your long lenses by the lens, not the camera.
