>>3941024I made the literal exact jump in reverse lol, my previous kit was an EOS 1000FN, with the first gen EF 35mm f/2.0 and a Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD. Now I have a G1 with the 28, 45 and 90. all top of the line lenses, the 28 is borderline distortionless and free of aberration, the 45 is in the running for GOAT with no aberration, and sharpness basically maxes at f/2.8. My 90mm slightly front focuses on my G1, so I need to calibrate it, but on my A7 it's also stunning starting at f/4. The design concept of an interchangable autofocus viewfinder camera is a really cool idea, Contax honestly got it 95% right with the G1, and it's a shame no one has tried since the G2. I have never had a single problem with AF speed and precision, purely just accuracy on the 90mm. The G1 has a god-tier grip on a small camera, and I can be used easily with one hand - nudge the aperture ring with your middle finger, change shutter speed with your thumb and fire with the index. Nothing comes close.
