Looking for my next lens under or around $500. Doesn't have to be super wide, will be doing more travel and portrait stuff for now. Maybe some events, but if so they'd be intimate/small settings.
I have some garbage left from my Canon, so I was considering adapting what I do have. But it's just a nifty fifty, a kit lens and some old boutique manual stuff.
Thinking perhaps the Sony 50 and/or the Rokinon 35? The Rokinon supposedly doesn't work well with continuous autofocus, but that's okay given that it's half the price of Sony's 35. Waiting until the Tamron 28-75mm is a little more attainable (sold out everywhere).
TL;DR need FE lens for a7 ii around $500, thinking Rokinon 35, anything else I might be missing?
