Not cheap at all, but I'm pretty confident it's the best 50/1.2 ever made in an SLR mount. Little bit of red fringing on edge highlights, but absolutely sharp enough for digital, and for closeup stuff too, even without stopping down.
Miles sharper than the EF version, and uses a floating element for close range spherical aberration correction.
