>>3472599nice camera, I used to enjoy shooting it when I had one but sold it once I got my F3. I forgot about it being a battery hog, what is it 4-6 rolls on a set of AAs?
Function wise it is fairly straight forward as I recall, and will be very familiar to anyone who has a 100series digital Nikon. Prestige wise, don't worry about it, most people will probably confuse it for a digital, and the manual Nikons (FM, FE, F2, F3, Nikkormat) are generally held higher. That said the matrix metering is pretty much the best ever put into a film camera.
don't worry too much about "how to photograph" books, and instead play around with "P" and "A". Shoot lots, shoot cheep film if you have to, and think about "why photograph."
Why is honestly more important than how. Why can be as simple as "I like to", or as convoluted as Neo Post-Modern Non-Photography
