However I don't know if there is an objective way to show how film rendering is more pleasant. For me film has a painterly quality to it. Colors flow into each other. Overexposed areas have a soft edge. The grain is like the brush strokes of an oil painting. Something that I haven't seen yet digital achieve even with editing. But I am open to be convinced though. Film is less convenient to use so digital being able to produce results like film would be great.
