the spotmatic has really smooth mechanisms that are joy tonuse, but this thing has an electronically timed metal shutter and mirror lockup, it feels like it should get way more consistent results than the cloth shutter
it also uses an 4Lr44 battery which you can still buy, that's a plus
i think i might switch to it because i dont trust the light metering or shutter speeds on my spotmatic so much
