>>3329017Hey Sunny, I hope you enjoy the transformation into large format. It looks like you know what you're doing with film as is so you're ready to make it bigger. Intrepid talked to me months ago about an mk3 in exchange for a review but they got busy and seemed to be dragging their feet (understandably) so I just went ahead and ordered the new one since they are so cheap anyway. I'm certain that review I did help them get several sales and I'm happy for them. It's such a dirt cheap camera and it keeps getting better.
To answer your questions: Yes I use a cheap changing bag when backpacking for multiple nights. I bright 4 boxes of film total, one c41 unload box, 1 e6 unload box, one box with fresh Ektar, and one box with fresh Provia and Velvia mixed in them. I use the notch codes when loading. I do develop all my own c41 and e6 film using a Jobo. You don't need a jobo (I did it by hand previously) but a guy gave me one so it makes it much easier. And yes, I get my Velvia 50 sheets from amazon Japan. It was actually a friendly guy from /p/ who tipped me off. I will leave him anonymous but he posts regularly and lived in Japan for a while. He purchased some Velvia 50 for me (after I paid him, of course) and mailed it. Then a few months later he told me that Amazon Japan sells it and ships it for cheap. It took me a while to decide if that info should be shared with the world but in the end I decided it should, so when I met up with Ben Horne and Alan Brock in Zion last fall I told them about it and then they made subsequent YouTube videos. Also, Ben Horne is a super nice guy in person.
Thanks as well for the thoughts on the images, I always appreciate it.
Here's some Velvia 50. I need to up my waterfall game, it was a real challenge shooting these with large format because the spray immediately covered the lens and filters. Composing on a ground glass takes time too so that makes the problem much worse. I tried plastic bags but eh...
