>>4216231The issue with f/8 is you might have a generous depth of field but you are also going to hit diffraction very quickly. The S200EXR has a pretty large sensor for a bridge, and f/8 on that is going to look the same as f/32 on FF. The P900 in OP would look more like f/45. It would be okay if you had a wide enough aperture to play with (f/1.7 standard zooms are a thing on small sensors) but these superzooms have a slow sliding aperture so realistically the only range where you can afford to close down the aperture to sharpen up faster than diffraction can soften the image is at wide to normal range. Pic related is a landscape taken at 436mm equivalent wide open to give you an idea of what I am working with here.
