I'm looking for a cheap manual focus lense with Nikon F bajonett, below 120€.
I want to learn filming movies but lack a MF lense. Camera is a D7200, not the best for filming, so it doesnt have to be a perfect lense but I'd rather produce something with supar equipment and learn, then whine not having the right equipment and produce nothing at all.
Due to the manual focus I thought of vintage lenses and since I prefere zooms over primes for faster change and more versatility, I thought of a zoom? Altough, I'm not sure how good those old zooms are, how much they breath while focusing and if they are fast enough.
More over, old Nikkor zooms are push/pull, would that be a disadvantage and even a problem on lets say a glidecam?
Of course, I'm open for any brand.
In general, is the focus ring on old Nikkor AF lenses or the todays D models (eg 28mm 2.8 D) comparable with the modern ones (short rotation distance, kind of wobbly etc) or the MF ones (smooth, long rotation distance)? If the second the Nikkor AF 28-85 mm 1:3.5- 4.5 would be interesting.
I'd like to use 28mm (42mmFF) as normal length with longer ranges only for closeups etc.
tl:dr:
>cheap, below 120€.
>nikon f bajonett
>smooth manual focus
>little breathing
>focal length 28mm
>prefereable zoom lense starting at 28mm
