When you have clothing that is loose and flowing like this, it will hide the natural form of the subject. So in this photo, the eye is drawn to the big red blob of fabric.
Some ways you might fix this is by placing a hand on the thigh, or using clips to bunch the dress together (not seen by camera). That way you can give form back to the model.
