>>3342431Gonna be honest, doing big trips like that by yourself is actually really rewarding. I did a 6500 mile trip this summer, over the course of 30 days, and spent the first half alone (my fiancee flew out to meet me halfway). While there are some logistical cons to being alone (setting up and breaking down a campsite takes longer, being alone at sketchy motels can be a bit creepy, no one to help you navigate), it's really nice to just have the freedom to go wherever you want. Anytime I saw something cool, I could just stop, climb out my sunroof, take a picture, and then keep driving (pic related). Do you know how obnoxious that would have been if other people were traveling with me? You'll meet all kinds of cool strangers too, who are usually fun to talk to.
Don't get me wrong, going on huge fun trips with friends is a really great experience, but going on those kinds of trips alone is just as valuable of an experience, only in a different way.
