Never mind that the petitioners description of the issue was as ass backwards as it's possible to be in its detail. Initially I thought it was a parody of some kind. So it's hardly surprising that the karen-horde lapped it up and regurgitated more of the same bullshit in their comments.
The thing that probably said it all was the fact that as soon as I made a comment post describing the petitioner's hostile distortion of the situation... and a couple of /p/ troll posts appeared; they hid all comments.
But naturally I had already saved it's original state. For posterity.
This is a big part of why I ignore cosplayers now: in both cases (there have been 2 petitions so far) they were initiated by cosplayers.
