No it doesn't.

More light passes through a 200 f/2 than through a 50 f/2.
Which is clear to see just by looking at the front elements.

The only 200mm prime worth getting is an f/2, which is a specialist lens so hardly for the 'average photographer'.

Trying to 'cover all bases' with only primes is silly.
On both the long end and the ultra wide end it's usually better to get zooms.
