>>4051326i think it's less about the flash and more about getting it off the camera, or using a sort of snoot/softbox to guide the light so that it's in the right spot. the main thing is that it needs to be diffused if you want to avoid harsh striking shadows.

Pulled the trigger on a 20$ amazon softbox like the guy in the video is using, too. All my previous experiments were using either reflector cards or my rubber gary fong lightsphere thingy but the softbox just seems practical to direct the light better instead of shooting everywhere
