However, I had an itch to start shooting landscapes and maybe a bit of architecture so I broke the bank and got a sony 16-35mm f/2.8 gm ii. It comes with an 82 mm thread but the front lens freaks me out a bit as it feels like it would protrude beyond the plane where the thread would fit the filter, that shouldn't happen right? I want to get an variable ND filter for watery landscapes, would you have any recommendations in mind?
