>>4221674>Has photography in general just become extremely niche now that anyone can take "good" pictures with their phones, or is 4chan just not a great place for this hobby?it's not just 4ch, its the entire internet. the entire internet is oversaturated with ''pro'' photographers and just overall people who think they snapshits are art or praise worth AT LEAST. same shit thats happened to music, to film/cinema, to writing/books, etc. is now happening to photography... when you have something so easily accessible, everyone and their grandmother begins to think they are professionals and that they are the next va Gogh or da Vinci, when in reality less than 0.1% are on that level... dumb/normal people like to think they are special and everything they do is special and luckily, 85%> of the worlds population is either average or below average (in everything, not just photography)
>TLDR: having something too accessible to the general public ruins it and it ruins the chances of success of people who are genuinely special/gifted/good at it...
