They had to pay Zeiss to design lenses for them because they didn't know what the fuck they were doing. It took them 6 tries of the A7 series to finally make a proper mirrorless camera that can compete with DSLRs while Canon and Nikon only needed 1 try to compete (albeit not quite there) with the A7III. Hilarious.
