It's not great, which is probably why it's not his most well-known photowhen composition is "too great" it becomes a gimick and eats the photo at its own expense. it focuses too much attention in the wow factor and the photographers skill, rather than the photo itself (like what happens with alex webb, which i find pretty good, but cant enjoy because his compositions are "too good to be true").
there are more famous eggleston photos, like le meme drink in a plane, but that one in the funeral is top notch, one of my faves, in general id say.
