My only argument is that it's stupid to complain about the low resolution of the one camera in the line who fills the specific niche of having a lower-resolution sensor, when the version of that camera with a normal medium-resolution sensor costs less.
(And also that 12MP is actually perfectly fine for most still photography purposes.)
