Next, I I find it odd that you mention that it's wheat bread. Somehow sounds as if everything were cool if just the bread were made of rye.
Jokes aside, I really found that the both go well together. The topic was hiking / simple travel. Thus, the bread. I originally had a glass of water in there, too, but couldn't get it into the frame.
I see your point though and I agree that I ought to have put more thought into it. I have some more still life ideas but will wait until I got some decent wide angle lens.
