In an effort to make DIY apertures for my DIY lenses, I'm still trying to make the simplest mechanical way of adjusting the apertures. This aperture is super easy to make and use, but since it spins in the center, it is limited by what types of apertures it can use. Knowing the f-stop with this is nearly impossible and I'm not going to calculate it. Regardless, the effect is rather unique. The colors seem to come partially from the adjusted contrast between aperture settings and probably the auto white balance on the camera changing.
Basically, I can move the lever, with this asymmetrical aperture pattern, to, "randomize," the f-stop, aperture design, and resulting bokeh.
