Just have to take about 30 or more exposures to get a really clear capture because of atmospheric distortion. Once you get a a clear shot, though, it pretty much comes out of the camera 80% of the way there assuming you've gotten your exposure dialed in.
800mm + 2x teleconverter, shot in 1.5x DX mode is about a 2,400mm equivalent focal length (which is about what you're seeing here).
Also, consider that you lose a lot of dynamism and detail as the moon grows full since everything is then lit straight-on and the image will appear "flat". Crescents or half-moons really add detail to the craters from indirect lighting and shadows.
