Could be cool, but a pretty extreme niche. Oppressive regimes will probably disappear your just for having the camera though. Unless it's a firmware extension you can secretly add like a Magic Lantern plugin.

Is it really that hard to make an articulated, rotating sensor? Yeah, this fills a niche (people who find cropping hard) but if they let you rotate it 90 degrees, it's still a normal camera as well as being good at getting thirsty insta likes.
