>>3370400Workflow can always be improved, but 750 images for a macro shot can be pretty low. Some of those amazing shots you can find online use 1k-4k images focus stacked. Well, only a tiny percent are like that and only with the pro stuff. The amount of time it takes can vary wildly, but if the insect is all manner of hairy then it can take forever to muck around with the layer mask due to so much occlusion. Like the hair on this honey bee's face (single image, no stacking). This is a throw away shot, but I'm doing a focus stack of another angle and all those hairs are infuriating to deal with. Then I noticed the bokeh was rough and realized the aperture wasn't set correctly. Long day.
It isn't just 1 framed shot either. You may also be sliding the lens sideways and taking more shots for a panorama. Each segment needs a focus stack then everything needs to be stitched together for the panorama.
It will really depend on the type of equipment you have as to what you'll be able to do. A friend of mine has some amazing equipment, mine is bargain bin entry level crap held together with JB Weld.
>Also post bugI don't post the finished stuff online anymore.
