Thoughtless snapshits that get justified ex post facto with some ridiculous explanation of why they're "good" when they're just shit, and they have fellow shills willing to go with it. (((Mark Cohen))) struggled to give this one a semblance of meaning in an interview.
Another example of dishonest photography would be what they liked to pass as casual and serendipitous, like many of Henri Cartier-Bresson's arranged pictures. Or (((Robert Capa))) and his so-called Normandy landings pictures, that gave him the reputation of the brave combat photographer risking his life when in reality he got there after the events were pretty much over and it was safe.
If there's a dishonest photograph, chances are it's street, Magnum or both.
