>>3738972>>3738977>>3738985May be your scanning and not actually out of focus. Use a 50mm lens, look through it backwards to turn it into a ghetto loupe, and inspect your negatives. You should be able to tell if things are in focus or not.

The town and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, one of my favourite places I've visited...yet nobody actually stays. They snap a photo of the volcano elbow to elbow with thousands of other tourists and then peace out. During the day and evening, we ran into maybe a couple of non-locals. Such a shame for all the people that made the effort to visit but not the time to enjoy the life of a village on the edge of a god damn caldera. Chasing sunrises but ignoring sunsets. You'll see more by not trying to see everything.
