I thrifted a really dirty and crunchy sounding Hexanon 40 1.8 that I decided to sacrifice to gork for learning purposes.
I managed to take it completely apart and put it back together except for one part, the focus helicoid.
After I removed the little stoptab that kept the helicoid from unscrewing past a certain point I separated the two focus helicoid parts, It just wouldn´t rethread, no matter how much I tried it never went back into the thread. What gives?
