And they can achieve that by not wasting money employing pricks like you to shoot beauty product packaging when the PR companies are only too eager to provide pictures.
The product pages of fashion magazines are cheap, easy pages for the publishing company. They are quick to assemble, write and sub (though they can be an arsehole to lay out) and allow more of the monthly budget to be allocated to areas where it matters.
To be perfectly honest I have no idea what their annual revenue might be and I don't care. But it is worth remembering that revenue does not equal profits and publishing is a very expensive business.
