>>4237602>>4237611Like the other dude said it's a lot easier to work with at shows/events, and I posted a long ass story in another thread but basically like 2020 when I started going out and shooting more I managed to damage my lens. It still worked but like half of the frame would be out of focus sometimes, and because I mostly take car photos I figured if I start shooting with a vertical frame I can use the half that is out of focus on the sky or background and then the other half with the car is focus and it looked much less noticeable. Eventually I upgraded and replaced my lens but shooting portrait just kinda stuck with me and I felt weird taking car photos in landscape orientation. I think the main reasons are really it's easier to frame out distractions like the other dude said, most people will see my photos on mobile and vertical frame is just easier to work with on mobile with cropping and stuff. Maybe it's retarded and maybe I am getting less in frame but I still think I capture everything the same. I still get full body quarter angles or side profiles of the full car, it's just some photos aren't trying to show all of the car, just certain details.
