I managed to mount a mirrorless camera to the same eyepiece last year and the results were acceptable. But I had to use a lens with a very small diameter that would fit inside the cup of the eyepiece and the slightest off-centering proved to make things quite hard. A fraction of a mm in the X, Y or Z axis and you couldn't see anything. But it worked. Later I bought a T-Mount and a Canon adapter ring and the results were much easier to achieve.
