>>4016517In Germany it costs ~2.5€ to develop a roll of colour film; including getting small prints (that suck). Up until about half a year ago, a three pack of gold 200 cost 7,90€. Now the three pack costs 12,20ish€. So Germany seems to be a nice place to shoot film as well. I scan at home so I don't really worry too much about the prints I get from the lab.
If you shoot half format you get your development usually for free, because they don't know how to handle half format printing, which leads to the negs coming back developed, along with a letter asking if you want "special prints". They don't bill you at that point because you haven't consented to wanting special prints.
I shoot film because it's fun (!!!) and I can try out many many different focal lengths and cameras. I also get super stressed when sifting through countless digital pictures, touching them up and then just having them lay around on my harddrive. Film photography on the other hand calms me down~
Recently I've started enjoying using my pen epl8 again, so there's that.
