The D7000 produces some incredibly clean files for an old crop sensor, I don’t quite understand it. You can pretty much pull back shadows as much as you want in post and you won’t see any kind of pattern noise. I upgraded to a Z6 and I honestly wasn’t that impressed when compared to the D7000. The Z6 is obviously a better camera in countless ways, but I feel like if I had to go back it wouldn’t be a problem.
It also has a bunch of nice features compared to lower end cameras, like the build quality, button layout, speed, dual card slots, AF with older lenses, top LCD, etc. And you’ll be able to use countless affordable F-mount lenses
