>>3652966Both cameras are pretty close to noise-free until ISO 1600, and it only gets particularly noticeable at 3200. 12800 makes the distinction a lot more obvious, and I always get yelled and called a liar or incompetent when I suggest that there are situations where someone might reasonably want to shoot at 25600, so I went with 12800 as a compromise.
Here they are at 3200, where you can still see significantly more noise in the Sony shot.
