>>4106326>"I don't define art, but..."What are you talking about? I'm not finding that quote in my linked posts.
>Well duh, of course it's not still life, but it's still an art if done with proper angle and lighting. It doesn't have to be proper, just deliberate.
>Or are you saying paintings done by painters who sat outside painting people passing by or nature on its element are not art too?Painting is inherently creative, what is seen on the canvas is a result of creative choice after creative choice.
>Also sport photog can be art tooI tend to not consider what you just posted as "sports photography" even though it's a photograph of someone doing a sport. In fact it reminds me of Leni Riefenstahl's Olympia. It's not mere event coverage, in fact it tells little about the event itself and the way it unfolded. It's art photography done in a sports setting, the photographer was looking to get shots that aligned with an artistic vision. That photographer couldn't make those pictures today without being raked through the coals first for being "ableist" and second for producing "antisemitic" images based on their similarity to Riefenstahl's own work. Which was documentary but went beyond documenting, squarely placed in the domain of art.
